If you've had the cash to drop on an RTX 40-series or a high-end AMD RX 7900 (opens in new tab) series GPU, you can take your pick of 4K panels. To get the most for your money, you want to match your monitor choice with your PC specs. A 4K monitor with a high refresh rate would be overkill if your rig is only packing a GTX 1060. Nor is it worth buying a cheap 1440p display that suffers from horrific ghosting when the gaming gets tough. ![]() There's no point having an RTX 4090 (opens in new tab) if you're still rocking an old 60Hz 1080p panel. ![]() And if you've spent a lot of money to make sure they play as well as they possibly can, the least you want is to have a screen that makes them look their best, too. After all, it's the window to your PC's soul.
